Evans Scholars Invitational launches volunteer opportunities
GLENVIEW, Ill. – Volunteer registration is now open for the 2026 Evans Scholars Invitational, set for July 23-26 at The Glen Club in Glenview, Illinois.
More than 400 volunteers will play a vital role in the tournament’s success, supporting operations both inside and outside the ropes while getting an up-close look at the next generation of PGA TOUR stars. Their efforts will make it possible for the event to raise funds for its sole beneficiary, the Evans Scholars Foundation.
Volunteers can register at esinvitational.com/volunteers.
Evans Scholars Invitational volunteers can choose from a variety of roles, including welcoming patrons, serving as standard bearers, providing on-course shuttle support, assisting corporate hospitality guests, distributing real-time scoring and interacting with players and caddies.
“Volunteering gives fans a chance to see the future stars of golf from a perspective you can’t find anywhere else,” said Vince Pellegrino, WGA Senior Vice President of Tournaments. "The commitment and enthusiasm our volunteers show every year is a big part of what makes this championship a first-class experience for everyone involved.”
Volunteers are asked to purchase an official uniform package for $65 (a $300 value), which includes:
- One Peter Millar volunteer polo
- One volunteer hat
- One clear ESI-branded bag
- Volunteer credential that allows access all week
- Complimentary volunteer parking
- Invitation to the volunteer appreciation party
- Food and beverage available during scheduled shifts
Volunteers must work a minimum of three shifts and be at least 12 years old. Minors are limited to the Standard Bearer and Walking Scorer committees.
A key stop in the race for Korn Ferry Tour points, the Evans Scholars Invitational has crowned champions such as World No. 1 and four-time major champion Scottie Scheffler, PGA TOUR winner and 2022 Rookie of the Year Cameron Young, PGA TOUR winner Harry Hall and 2025 Korn Ferry Tour Player and Rookie of the Year Johnny Keefer.
All proceeds from the Evans Scholars Invitational benefit the Evans Scholars Foundation and its mission to award full tuition and housing college scholarships to deserving youth caddies. This year, there are 1,260 Evans Scholars enrolled in 27 leading universities across the country.
