GLENVIEW, Ill. – Dylan Menante and 2024 champion Thomas Rosenmueller share the 36-hole lead at the Evans Scholars Invitational, reaching 15-under par through two rounds at The Glen Club.

Rosenmueller, of Germany, eagled the 615-yard, par-5 18th hole to grab a share of the lead, capping a 9-under par 62 that also featured eight birdies. During his victory at The Glen Club in 2024, Rosenmueller finished at 25-under par to win by two.

“Given the conditions, pretty flawless tee-to-green game,” Rosenmueller said. “The punishment for errant shots and missing the greens on the wrong side is a lot more severe than it was in previous years. I’ve just been hitting the ball really nicely and also putting, obviously, quite well.”

Menante followed his opening-round 63 with a 7-under 64 on Friday. A winner on the Korn Ferry Tour earlier this season and currently No. 14 on the KFT Points List, Menante opened his round with three consecutive birdies before adding two more on Nos. 5 and 8. He carded three more birdies on a bogey-free back nine.

“It’s really good to know that my game is kind of coming together,” said Menante, who finished T40 and T48 in his last two starts. “I’ve been grinding really hard trying to get better. The 40th-place finishes don’t get you much on this tour, so it’s exciting to have an opportunity to win.”

Texas graduate Tommy Morrison made his fourth cut in as many Korn Ferry Tour starts this season, firing an 8-under 63 to move into solo third at 14-under. Following an opening-round 65, Morrison carded nine birdies against just one bogey to climb three spots on the leaderboard. His 63 also marked his 13th consecutive round in the 60s in Korn Ferry Tour competition.

Ryan Burnett – who led the field after the opening round – Davis Shore and Jackson Buchanan are tied for fourth at 12-under par.

Hole No. 17 – a 183-yard par 3 with a hole location cut on the left side, just steps from the water – produced a pair of aces in the second round, by Carson Young of Anderson, South Carolina, and Jorge Garcia of Doral, Florida. Young currently sits in a tie for eighth at 10-under par, and Garcia is T-54 at 5-under, making the cut on the number.

The cut came at 5-under par, with 70 players advancing to the third round that begins at 7:10 a.m. on Saturday.
